Great location. Not stayed there but wandered in. Very cozy and comfortable.
Perfectly good stop over on the PCT
Oasis for PCT hiker before starting the long exposed waterless aqueduct hike just north of here. Family friendly, just kidding. Lots of thru hiker trash will stay here a couple days and use a minor injury as an excuse to get drunk here. Wild wild west here.
For me it was the best food from Campo to here. GET THE TOWN HALL it keeps cool and shady
Ok, this place is amazing!! I was riding my harley through the desert and stopped here to camp for the night. For $10 I got a bed to sleep in. The place looks like a wild west town. It's for hikers going through the Pacific Crest trail but they will take any weary traveler. Bathrooms and showers are available. You get to meet cool people.

Hikertown is a place where the thru hiker "Mexico to Canada" can stop, spend the night, or just rest up, before going on to cross the desert.. Although most hikers spend a night here, many take off at sunset if there's going to be a full moon out, or if the following day is going to be a hot one..

In the wilderness after Hikertown the water is again questionable. I hide by the wind farm bridge, waiting for the sun to go away. Last night was weird, because Hikertown is weird, with its even weirder pseudo-caretaker, who creeped out all the ladies and was definitely on something.

image817. I couldn't sleep much at Hikertown. The trailer reeked of old cigarette smoke-enough that it was keeping me awake, and at about midnight I got up and opened the Hikertown with the hot tub full of beer cans and weeds. Hikertown with the hiker shower with the power strip tossed over the top.
