Dr.S.Uppal has surpassed all of my expectations, and as a medical doctor myself, my expectations tend to be even higher than those of most people. I had a tooth ache for months, about which another office new but did nothing about, and it culminated in an unbearable pain thus I ended up needing an emergency root canal. After 10/10 tooth ache that prevented me from sleeping for days, I called many offices hoping to find a slot. The office I’ve been treated at before him gave me a Rx for Amoxicillin, Ibuprofen and Tylenol #3 and scheduled me for a root canal appointment 3 weeks out from the onset of severe pain. Every other office I called either had no available root canal experienced dentist and no availability till a week out. Dr.Uppal was able to fit me in within an hour of my call to his office. He explained what needed to be done based on my symptoms and X-ray results, immediately gave me appropriate amount of local anesthetic to keep me comfortable during the procedure, throughout the entire process showed great concern about my level of comfort, was extremely accommodating, compassionate and kind. He offered me a mirror to see what he was doing, explanned what he was doing along the way, including how the nerve was being destroyed, educated me on the newest equipment he was using that made root canal procedure more efficient. He made me feel respected as a patient and as a human being. At the end, he educated me on how the tooth issue started, what would be the best next option, and gave me various options explaining which would be the better for long term, without trying to push anything expansive on me. I trusted him immediately. This is the dentist that makes a profession of dentistry honorable and makes a visit to a dentist a pleasant one. I regretted going to that different office before him, which missed a problem that had already been there months before, a problem he had found and resulted in days of 10/10 pain that was preventable had the X-rays been read closely and had I been listened to more attentively, in the way that Dr.Uppal did. He also followed up with me by phone inquiring on how I was doing 2 days later. I will be recommending Dr.Uppal to all of my family members and friends as I can personally vouch for his utmost professional integrity, his absolute top notch quality as a dentist, and his caring, kind and compassionate approach to his patients. He is a type of dentist that is a true jewel, and his style is sadly becoming extinct in increasing impersonal profit driven healthcare and if you get to be his patient, consider yourself lucky!
I had an emergency. My tooth was broken and I just could say he is special and very professional DDS. Very kind person I am so glad he is my Dentist. I recommend him 100%.
