Gratitude Lodge-Drug & Alcohol rehab

Gratitude Lodge was my saving grace after many months of battling complete hopelessness. My voice had been silenced so many times that I could barely speak when I got there. The path that led me to Gratitude was unique and complex but the entire staff treated me like I deserved to be there just as much as any of the other clients I was there with. Two years have passed and I can still name every single staff member who impacted my life for the better and exactly how they did so. Gratitude Lodge put people in my path that gave me the strength to speak up and fight for justice for the first time in my life. They provided me a safe space to be me no matter what that looked like- the beautiful messy and tear-filled chaos of falling apart- and I am forever grateful.

I’ve been to plenty of detox and rehab programs over the last 20 years and this has to be the best (and hopefully last) one I’ve been to. The house is beautiful and well maintained, the beds are comfortable, there’s TVs in the rooms with every service you could want (for the days or nights of not feeling that great in bed), the staff is caring and incredibly patient, and there’s homemade meals and food available all day, any time. Possibly most important it was not one size fits all and my individual medical needs were met even though it didn’t follow the basic protocol. I was individually evaluated and actually listened to, which anyone who’s been in a detox before knows can be rare. There’s also good structure to the days along with group and private therapy without being overwhelming. Coming up on 6 great months now thanks to this place.

I went here back in February and hands down the best treatment facility I’ve been to truly changed my outlook on recovery and life the staff was amazing food was amazing the core knowledge was legit!! I absolutely will have a lifetime of love for ALL OF THE STAFF that truly changed the outlook I had on sobriety and recovery much love to you guys!!!

I was in treatment at Gratitude Lodge in Long Beach for 30 days and I cannot thank them enough for all that they did for me while I was there. My life was in shambles after using alcohol and drugs for the last 20 years. After detoxing I was given the therapy and classes to teach me how to live a life free from the power that my addictions had over me. Everything from counseling, art, yoga, exercising and 12-step recovery was emphasized so that I could find a new way to live. As a plus, I also am developing more friendships on a regular basis than I have in years thanks to the tools I have been given in treatment at Gratitude Lodge-Long Beach.

Everyday all the staff went above and beyond to make sure my physical and emotional needs were provided for. I will never forget them for all that they did to help me. I sometimes refer to them as Lifesavers because they really did save my life. Also, each of the staff shared with me about their recovery journeys and instilled hope in me for returning to a life after treatment that I could live without drugs and alcohol. If I could, I would list each one by name to personally thank them. Everyone one of them would be on my list. I am forever grateful.

I also had the privilege of being in treatment with others who were seeking recovery that I developed friendships with and they continually encouraged me throughout treatment. I will never forget them either.

I am now in Sober Living and attending regular 12-steop meetings and I am excited about what my future holds. At 58 years old I have been given a new and fresh start at life. No matter how young or old you are you can have it too. This is a wonderful place place to find the miracle of recovery.

I cannot say enough about Gratitude Lodge-Long Beach. Everyone there is dedicated to helping as many people as they can find freedom and to live sober. One phrase that I have taken as my mantra is one that my Case Manager, Gary, shared with me: "on my worst day, if I go to bed sober, it is my best day." I'm grateful now for every day of sobriety.

I cannot say enough about the staff at Gratitude Lodge. My husband went in for one month, and as a wife at home, 100's of miles away, my fear was that when he came back that he would want to return to his old habits. He came back a new man, back to his old self and has so much positive self esteem that our world has changed forever. Every time I called, I was greeted with a friendly voice and the support that I received was amazing. When someone goes through this, others go through it with them. The staff helped me in so many caring ways. Still to this day, they call and check on my husband to make sure he is doing well and if he needs anything at all.
