Tasty!!
Went by twice already. Both times to pick one up to share w my mother who grew up in DF & had a fav spot for tortas gigantes over there. These are t gigantes, yet a very very respectable size. The bread is good too. (A cemita or telera con ajonjoli?)
These one’s hit the spot. Both times she has smiled with the taste. Simple torta cart on the side of the road. Can’t wait for them to grow on to a proper sit down spot so I can visit w family & friends. Do bring cash. Better value :)

Where to begin.....this man will at some point catch an assault with a deadly weapon case if not an out right 187!!!! The tortas are KILLERRRR!!!!! I do not say this lightly. I am fat. No pun intended. Over the years of gluttonous enjoyment I've accumulated extra weight to compensate for my shortcomings of course and have a keen eye.....or taste buds...for the highest of quality grub. I made my excited purchase of "LA Cubana" torta and much like Castro did to Che....killed my beastly hunger. The soft sesame telera, the fresh tomato, onion, lettuce and disgusting avocado (yes, I hate avocado, that pesky green flavorless fruit) queso fresco, beans all sandwiched between a heap of milanesa, ham, egg, weenie, grilled pineapple and wait for it, wait....wait... ONION RINGS!!! THATS RIGHT....****EN OINION RINGS!!!! topped off with a delicious Chipotle sauce. Someone pinch me cause I must be dreaming. A harmonious ballad played in my mouth as I chomped at this sandwich only fit for kings bestowed upon us by the heavens. I cannot speak of this spot highly enough. My only regret not finding it earlier. I am sure my arteries thank me for that. THE BEST TORTA in the 818. Like a fiend I cannot wait for morning to satisfy my next fix. The next morsel of ecstacy awaits.

Very welcoming, great service. Food was tasty, bread to filling ratio was on point, and most importantly for me the food was still warm when we got home (as you can see from the melted cheese) ☺️👍

I asked the chef to make me something to compliment my cubana ( my favorite sandwich definitely recommend !) he made me some Al pastor fries and by far the best pastor fries I've tried in Los Angeles. It seems like he's always adding new creations to the menu.😋

Best tortas in Los Angeles!!! Anyone reading this please go try them out . The mamalona and cubana are my personal favorites. The crew is very friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience! Thanks Tortas Chuy ! See you soon
