Miller Introduction to Judaism Program

  Whether you are thinking about Jewish conversion or simply want to learn more about the Jewish faith and people, this course is for you. The course can be completed at your own pace with new cohort start dates each month. You could potentially complete the program within a couple months or a couple years, depending on your schedule.
  
  Rabbi Adam Greenwald makes each weekly topic interesting and inviting to all who attend. After leaving class each week, I would want to research the topics further and purchase readings that supplemented that week's learning. Rabbi Adam runs the class much like a college seminar where everyone is free to discuss and question that week's topic. An overarching theme of the eighteen week course: Question everything and anything that is presented. A big part of Judaism is to question and struggle; Judaism is not about just accepting things as they are written in the Torah. Even in the Talmud, the principles of Judaism are in constant debate between the rabbis. Rabbi Adam does not try impose any values on anyone, rather he allows the intro attendee to make the decision to convert and to accept Jewish principles.

  Rabbi Greenwald is an excellent teacher, his class was both fun and inspiring. He is a great support for anyone curious on how to be more involved with Judaism and the Jewish community. The class is very insightful, and I couldn't have asked for better classmates.

  I'm not Jewish, but my partner is. I went in to learn a bit more about her culture and found Adam to be one of the best teachers I've ever had. The class is laid back but filled with fascinating information, and while the trek out there every week was daunting, it was so worth it. Many people are in the class just to learn more about Judaism. There's no agenda, and it's a truly welcoming space. Definitely take this course!

  I can't imagine having done my studying any other way. The Miller Introduction to Judaism Program - with Rabbi Adam Greenwald - were able to teach me what I needed to know about Judaism while expanding me to think long and hard about my own life and choices I am making regarding becoming Jewish. I can't recommend it enough - not only for people in the process of converting but also for those who were raised Jewish and are looking to gain meaning behind that.

  I was so surprised about how much I enjoyed this. Loved learning new things every week that I would apply in all aspects of my life. Highly recommend this course, very friendly, fun, informative, well rounded among other qualities. It's a great start and a great continuation to anyone in the Jewish community.
