Very helpful staff. I had called earlier to get an estimate and told the guy I’ll be bringing my car in, by the time I got there he had ordered the parts needed for repair and had me out quicker than anticipated.

Amazing mechanic! Don't waste your time elsewhere. This business is professional, accommodating, and non-biased. Incredible prices and solid work.
Needed brakes, rotors, oil change, and other small fixes. Prices were incredible and work was done within a few hours. I highly recommend!

Irvin is the most kind, and trustworthy mechanic I've ever worked with. He's patient, and never tries to convince me of services I don't need. He is great at answering all my questions and anytime I've left I feel safe and secure driving my car around. He's the best and I'm so glad to have a trusted mechanic. I'll be taking my car to him for as long as I possibly can.

This place was super quick and helpful when i came to them when my car was having issues. I talked to Irvin and he helped fix me up immediately and did so at a very good price. Will definitely come back here if I need some nice and quick help!

I feel like I really established some trust with SMG. I’ll tell you why. I brought my 2006 Volkswagen Passat in to have my CAMSHAFT lobe follower replaced. Spoke with Irvin and told him the problem that I was having. He told me straight up that he could replace the follower, but if my problem turned out to be that I needed to replace my entire CAMSHAFT which it was, he wouldn’t be able to do because they’re only a general auto shop. Other than that, I thought his prices were fair. I can definitely appreciate that since we’re in a recession in all.
What I didn’t like so much about his shop is that it was small which means he gets easily busy. What this means for you, the customer, is you won’t be able to just pull up, and he can server your car right away. You might have to wait a few days. It’s best to call him first and tell him what’s going on, then ask him when the best time for you to drop by. Now, diagnosing your car shouldn’t be a problem. If he’s not really busy, I'm sure he can take care of that in the same day, but as far as making repair. Well, you might have to wait for that. Just talk with and let him know what’s going on, I’m sure he can work something out. Try to keep in mind that it’s busier at the beginning of the week than it is at the end of the week.
But I think I had a great experience. I brought my car in. They gave me a price and a time that I could work with and boom my car was finished when they said it would be done. Unfortunately, Irvin and his team wasn’t able to make the additional repairs that I needed, but he did recommend another auto repair shop. The other repair shop started off a little rocky (not Irvin fault). For awhile I wasn’t sure they could complete the job. I even called up Irvin and asked him what I should do. He told me to give them a little more time because something things don’t go as plan all the time and he was right. They just needed a little bit more time.
I’m very grateful he gave me input from a mechanic’s point of view.
Overall, I would give SMG auto a 4 stars which means I think they were very good. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because they weren’t able to take car of all my car concerns. I had to go somewhere else, but I will definitely be back.
