Hollywood DMV

Clean, fast service. There is not alot of people in this DMV. 👍🏼 they call the numbers fast. Nice. Recommended

Still amazed by how helpful and KIND the folks who worked there were.

I was there to reinstate a drivers license that had lapsed when I moved out of state. I had made an appointment (ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT) and was greeted by security who showed me the line to stand in.
Stood in line for 5 minutes before someone came to me, looked over my paperwork, showed me how to find my confirmation code from my phone browser, and showed me where to wait for my number to be called.
I was then helped by someone who was so kind and patient, who found my old license number, explained the test I actually needed to take, honored my gender change paperwork with dignity, and showed me where to wait to get my ID photo.
This was probably the longest line, but it went quick.
Then it was test time. The folks there greeted me warmly and invited me to go to any kiosk. Every now and then someone came around and actually encouraged us to take the test again if we failed the first time - "It's okay, don't worry, you have chances to retake it for a reason."
I finally passed the test, and the last employee handed me my paperwork with a warm goodbye.

Is this really the DMV?? On a Wednesday afternoon the day before Thanksgiving?!?!?
I'm honestly touched.

Just went to the Hollywood DMV office on Cole to renew my drivers license, without an appointment. Got there at 4:30 and walked right in. There was no line or wait. Workers are friendly and helpful and plenty of free parking next to the building. Got out in 15 min.
