  Finally made it here, as it has been on my list for a long time. Knocked it one star for the gap in expectation vs. reality. We had 4 different sandwiches and all shared, and they were all really good. But I have definitely had better deli. Love that they are open late. Also love the old school decor.

  Classic American Jewish Deli food. Their matzo ball soup is incredible, the broth is made without chemicals/bouillon cubes/other additives and the chicken in the soup is very fresh, tasty, and tender. Their corned beef sandwiches are amazing and their specialty, the pastrami is also a favorite. Their baked goods are so good. The chocolate danishes are so chocolatey, exactly how they should be!

  I came to Canter's thanks to a suggestion of a friend. Service was prompt and food was great. Surprisingly, the coffee wasn't too bad either! Parking is free, but you need to make sure to get your ticket validated!

  There is a reason Canter's has over 2000 reviews and almost has all 5 stars. This is an LA landmark. With all the deli's closing, Canter's is going strong. My favorite is scrambled eggs with onions with lox on the side. You pay a little extra but it is worth it. Then you have lox for the bagel and cream cheese that comes with it. And... the coffee here is great! This is a wonderful place to get the paper and curl up in the corner and enjoy a weekend breakfast. (Wait .. does anyone read the paper anymore?)

  Jewish style Deli, nicely decorated, excellent service, great food. I had a corned beef Reuben. It was delicious. My wife had salami and scrambled eggs. She always enjoys that when we eat at a Jewish style Deli. I had diet cream soda which tasted just as good as regular cream soda, and my wife had diet black cherry soda which was just as good as regular cherry soda.
  
  Our friends split a roast beef sandwich. They enjoyed it. They both had soup, one had bean and barley soup which, he says, was very good. The other had matzoh ball soup, and she enjoyed it very much.
  
  Our server kept us supplied with sour pickles. Some places make the pickles too sour or not sour enough. Canters made them just right.

My favorite NY deli in California. If I'm ever in the mood for a Corned Beef and Pastrami on Rye, this is my go to place. It's right down the street from the Grove and a bunch of great restaurants, so I don't always make it here.
