  Great school been here for 3 years convenient glad I came well I didnt know much on the process on getting into high school.In middle school all they gave me was a paper with the Belmont zone of choice thing and I chose this school.Great school no bullying wonderful days

  Incredibly lucky to have our daughter at this school. The talent is thick, the leadership is solid, and the education is rich. If you are looking for a school that provides incredible artistic opportunities and excellent academics, then this is the place. This school is a stellar example of what public education can do when the arts are placed as a priority. Thank you LAUSD!

  I am currently a 10th grader at this school. I recommend this school if you are a passionate person in regards to the arts. I have had an amazing experience at this school and I don't regret attending. There are a lot of positive aspects to this school but there are also some negative aspects of this school just to show that my comment isn't meant to be biased. I know a lot of you who are reading these reviews have heard that our school has a drug problem. Unfortunately it is slightly true however it isn't the school's fault. This drug problem is a result of the student's irresponsible usage of drugs. If you use common sense and you avoid using drugs then this problem shouldn't even affect you. I love this school's environment because it is filled with students who share the same passions that I do and everyone has such an open mind and it is so diverse that you get exposed to new ideas. I have a passion for theatre and I have personally benefited from this school when it comes to honing my passion. I love the teachers here and all the teachers I have had really did help me learn and grow as a person. For any 9th graders who will be attending this school, my advice to you is let yourself socialize with others. Everyone here is so social, it was so easy for me to make friends. I know it is a scary experience but believe me, you just have to talk to people and you will meet people who share the same interests. I hope many of you join us next year. This school will provide you with many unique special experiences that will define who you are and what you pursue. So far the school has done amazing music concerts, art shows, dance shows and theatrical performances that have really resonated with me. I understand that this school isn't for everyone but I think that almost everyone can benefit from attending. Currently the school is doing the musical, Once on this Island and people from all four academies are in it and I can't wait to see it. I hope many of you see all the good that this school has to offer just as I do.
