Hats off to the chef!
We came here on both 1st & 2nd Jan for breakfast. Both days we each ordered one main dish and a drink and a desert. We end up enjoying every single dish and drink we ordered :)!
The avocado toasts (ordered poached egg one first day & rainbow avo on second) are especially flavorful - its ingredients were brilliantly combined into a unique savory taste. My favorite drink is London Fog which is a milk tea, and my partnered ordered the signature cold brew which was fresh and a bit fruity.
Service was not good, though, but with the food being this good, we are not bothered :)
Black Canvas Coffee is a bright and neat coffee shop in Hollywood, good vive for work or chat. Coffee was ok, service was friendly., although overall the shop feels quite generic.
I stopped by one day to meet a friend and we had a good time here. The outdoor patio is nice.
Bright coffee shop with alternative milk options and breakfast/brunch. Came here on a Sunday around 11am and there were indoor and outdoor seats available. Credit card only (no cash accepted). You pay at the counter and then you’ll receive a number. You can do work here too, but most of the people seemed to be there to socialize.
They had some ready made pastries but I would suggest asking them to heat up the display ones (it’ll take your croissant to the next level). It’s an additional $1.25 if you want oat milk in your latte. I got a matcha latte and it did its job. Note that the smoothie bowl does come with a nut butter blended in it. It’s actually pretty filling, so you could ask for a cold drink cup to take the rest of it to-go.
Overall the vibes are chill and it’s a cute cafe/coffee shop.
Cool coffee, and one of the best omelettes Ive had in a long time-small portion for the price so not recommending eating there as there’s not many options too.
Great spot for coffee and food. They have a solid menu with many options for breakfast and lunch. The Rainbow Avocado Toast is an art piece, the Turkey Avocado Croissant is so delicious (sorry French people reading this) and the Rosewater Honey Latte is so good. Will come back to try more options.
