Love this shop and their business motto. They've inspired me to purchase 2nd hand as a way to reduce waste and help our earth! They have a lineup of used cute clothes for sale outside. Plus their masks are great- they are the only ones that I don't break out in. My sensitive skin thanks Suay

I love my linen items from this shop (apron and napkins, but they have lots of other things too). I just got back some wool pants and a wool blanket I had submitted for repairs. Both were in pretty poor condition and I didn't know if they could be salvaged. Suay did a fantastic job mending them with patches and the finished product looks really nice! Knit wool is a hard fabric to work with too. The repairs took 3 months which I didn't expect. Initially I had some trouble getting in touch with the shop to get a timeline for my repairs, but once the owner Lindsay got involved, she got my repaired items back to me immediately and went above and beyond to make things right. Overall I highly recommend Suay and am so glad to have them in the community!

I first heard about Suay Sew Shop 5 years ago. I heard about two women making beautiful natural fabric linens and I was lucky enough to be gifted a linen duvet made by them, via a friend. Over the years I have watched the Suay team grow into a loving, sustainable, driven, company that cares about every person working there and every item that they create. The corduroy pillowcases I own are cozy and wear well. The linen duvet is still going strong and the linen body length pillowcase and pillow is my most coveted piece. Supporting Suay is not only good for your soul but good for everyone's, because they care about their footprint in our ever changing world.

Suay LA is the realest of the real. They do impeccable work for the community and environment at large. I spent years trying to find a facility that does EVERYTHING Suay does. I can’t think of another place that repairs, recycles and remakes clothing all in the same location AND takes responsibility for their skilled workers/pays them livable wages. Suay doesn’t only do all these things, but are constantly educating the masses about what is truly ethical when it comes to textiles, waste and labor. I have learned so much from Suay. I feel very confident in dropping off unwanted clothing, and I am consistently impressed with the quality of their repairs. I fully support Suay and I encourage you to do the same! They are doing excellent and vitally necessary work!

This is one of those businesses that gives you restored faith in humanity. When you see the price tag or quote for services, remember that you are paying for people with a skill to earn a living wage in an industry that is normally running sweatshops and creating low quality goods that you have to replace every year.
