  Finding a motel (or hotel) in Los Angeles that doesn’t break the bank is not easy. Especially now when inflation is as high as it is.
  
  The Bevonshire Lodge Motel is an outlier insofar that It's unique by offering a great location, affordability and rooms that are considerably larger than most modern hotels.
  
  While the Bevonshire’s decor could use a facelift and its rooms a general update, as mentioned, they are surprisingly large and well-equipped. My room, 219, had a pretty big fridge, a microwave, a clothes rack and a small dining table for two. The bathroom is ancient but functional and clean. I didn't interact very much with the manager at the tiny front desk, but our few exchanges were pleasant enough. Cleaning staff were good at tidying up my room every day.
  
  The motel’s location is excellent. The iconic Farmer’s Market is just a few blocks away as is the hyper trendy Fairfax and Melrose shopping streets.
  
  The easiest way of getting around in L.A. is definitely via Uber. That said, if you're just going to visit Hollywood Boulevard with its Walk of Fame and other tourist attractions, I found the Bevonshire to be within walking distance.
  
  The closet breakfast friendly restaurant is either Canter’s on Fairfax Avenue or Du-Par’s on 3rd Street by Farmer’s Market. Across the street and down the block is a branch of the fancy Erewhon Market. They have pretty much all you need, albeit at steep prices.
  
  There are plenty of cannabis dispensaries nearby, if you are into the weed scene.
  
  Finally, I can easily recommend the Bevonshire to anyone on a budget that wants to stay in West Hollywood. It’s not going to be an aesthetically pleasing experience. But the location is great, it’s safe and absolutely perfect for the frugal traveler.

  The front desk manager was extremely helpful, polite and curteous. Great location! Spent a night there while in transit to San Francisco. The housekeeping needs to pay more attention to bathroom and room cleaning in general. Will stay again here!

  Comfortable beds and good cable TV. The bathrooms could use a better cleaning job, as I saw lots of different hair and dirt all over the tile floor. The people that run the place are VERY nice. Needs a little sprucing up but it is nonetheless A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY COMPARED TO ALMOST ALL OF THE OTHER HOTELS AROUND TOWN.
