One of the best parks for a fitness photoshoot I’ve ever visited. Stairs, blocks, dips. Amazing place in the middle of big city right by the grove where you can go enjoy the test of the evening right after
I’ve been bringing my dogs to this park for 15 years. It’s large enough that if they aren’t in the mood to be social we can just go to the other side (3rd st). Or we can spin the block a few times and they feel satisfied. Hands down one of our favorite parks.
My friends and I go here aften to get away from the city life for awhile, even though it's located right by The Grove. It's a perfect park to take dogs too as most dog owners let their dogs off leash so they can run around and play with other dogs. I've never encountered an aggressive dog off leash. They have bbq pits and benches but I bring my own table top grill to do kbbq in the park! A good amount of parking but on a busy day you might be circling for awhile. They also have basketball courts and several Jungle gym areas for kids. There are larger, covered tables to accommodate large gatherings. Bathrooms are always a disaster, so bring your own soap/hand sanitizer!
This park is great for kids because there is so much space to run around and there are multiple playgrounds to choose from. Tons of cute dogs running around. There is parking but the lot is far from the best playground which is closer to the swimming center which rarely has parking, so you often have to walk across the park. The only problem with this park is the homeless people who like to use the grills to cook leaves and sticks. They don’t bother you but it’s something to be mindful of for sure.
Very vast space to have a picnic, bring the doggies, or play some bball. Very diverse group of people too that come and visit, which is great to see.
Most definitely kid friendly with the awesome jungle gyms that they have for the kids. Come prepared with lunch or snacks because you will want to explore the park or at least sit down and let the kids run wild.
