PMA is a wonderful family operated martial arts studio that our son went to for a few years. Their classes were flexible and accommodating with our schedule. They do not focus on making sure you do everything perfectly, but more on how much effort and enthusiasm and understanding you have towards everything you do and learn. There is low-pressure to belt test - they encourage it when you think you're ready and if you've practiced for the required amount of time. Sensei Knight and his senpais were great - very patient and encouraging. My son never felt like it was competitive either. This dojo is very accomplished and the students get a lot out of it.
My son has loved his classes with Sensei Knight at the dojo. He has gained a lot of confidence as well as skill and strength. I really appreciate the balance of fun and discipline that Sensei Knight provides.
My daughters have had an excellent experience here under Sensei Knight. They have learned discipline and confidence, while enjoying the dojo's rich variety of training techniques. Would strongly recommend!
Our son has been attending classes twice a week for the past 6 months and he loves it. Sensei Knight is a fantastic instructor, he keeps my distracted 8 year old focused and engaged the entire hour. They have plenty of classes through the week based on age. His older students that have learned from him are prime examples of Mr. Knights excellent teaching and programs. The Dojo is located in a great shopping center with plenty of tables and benches for the parents and siblings.
We really enjoyed our time at Pacific Martial Arts! Everyone here is really nice...including all the parents. It is like a small little community. They are really catered to help the kids learn and be the best they can be without a lot of pressure. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for karate for kids!
