Sinjeon Food Sys LA , 신전 떡볶이

This place is fantastic! The staff is polite and fast and the portions are huge! I highly recommend grabbing tteokbokki and gimbap from Sinjeon, then popping over to Two Hands for a korean corn dog - the combination is seriously a match made in heaven.

Authentic Korean fast-food restaurants! As a Korean, I’m so glad that I can enjoy my favorite food, tteokbokki. The price is a lil bit high, but I think it’s the standard price to enjoy Korean food in La. It tastes the same as what I ate in Korea, and I recommend putting the mozzarella cheese on the top mucho in tteokbokki. One of my favorite food in this restaurant is cheese kimbap, filled with kimchi rice covered a melted mozzarella cheese; the balance between cheese and rice is fantastic. If you like spicy and a mochi, give it a try :)

As an avid Ddukbokki lover, this place would be overall around 3.5 stars. Dduck(rice cake) was cracking, which is a sign of either frozen rice cake into high heat pot to cook fast or not defrosted enough before cooking, which leads to the unpleasant texture. Dduck as it is in more chewy side and it was pleasant surprise.
Tempura is clearly fried at least twice; one, probably during the prep(hours prior to serve) and the other, right before they serve. Although tempura tastes overall nice and I like its diversity, the batter should have been crispier and less greasy.
Staffs are friendly and interior was modern and clean. Food as it is 3.5 and ambience is 4.5.

This place is really pretty and nice to meet people. I like Topokki and I'm so happy to eat the Sinjeon in LA. The Sinjeon is very famous in Korea, and I like the spicy style of Topokki that only Shinjeon has. Unlike Korea, the LA store is very luxurious, and the green wall and light are so pretty. It feels like a cafe. Fried combo, Soondae, Gimbap, Mayo rice bowl everything is delicious. I especially like Deep fried set, Gimbap and rosé Tokbokki. I can't believe I'm eating rose Tokbokki in America.

I don't understand why the rating is so low. I hesitated a bit because of the low rating but I gave it a try. Because I really love 떡볶이 so that I might find the good place. I ordered the 치즈떡볶이, 스팸컵밥, and 김말이 for the side. And I'm so happy that I did! It tastes good. I love how chewy the rice cakes are and fried fish cakes are really yummy. 컵밥 is a bit salty though. Spam itself is salty so I don't want to complain about it. I would like to visit here again.
