100/10(yes your read that right) Trust you couldn’t possibly be disappointed! My boyfriend and I arrived to LA and this was our first meal fresh off the plane
1. This pictures just off google alone had our mouths watering
2. Jurni’s warm welcoming spirit made us feel like family
3. THE FOOD DOWN TO EVERY BITE WAS PERFECT!! Chicken was crispy ,shrimp and grit was savory , the fired devil eggs?!? (Word to the wise don’t leave without them)

We will definitely be making a trip back before we leave LA!

So boom. I got the tenders and waffle catfish and grits, and 2 peach lemonades. It was very good. The tenders were seasoned perfectly. It was a bunch of tenders too! (Chicken box) The waffle was good. Nice Belgian waffle. My guest said their food was mighty tasty as well. They ate the catfish and grits. Them grits did look cheesy and soft. I didn’t wanna ask for their food because I wasn’t sharing my food. Hahahah. Then the owner followed up about my service/order. Very hands on and I will definitely come back.

My family & I were in L.A. from Dallas for a short time, but made sure Gritz N Wafflez was a must on the list of stops. When I tell you the food is cooked with love, I mean it! We ordered a smorgasbord of food for our family of four, as we didn't know the next time we'd get a chance to return. Catfish & Cajun Cream Gritz - divine. Wingz & Wafflez (sweet vanilla bean) - superb. Creole Tomato Gritz with Fried Shrimp - excellent. Crunchy Cinnamon Toast - sweet, crunchy goodness cooked to perfection. Mac n Cheese & Collard Greens were a great taste of home. One thing is certain, Gritz N Wafflez will be a must stop on every trip to L.A. as long as the doors are open!

Holy guacamole! I ordered the catfish, along with shrimp and cheese grits, and each bite was a flavor party in my mouth. The food presentation was outstanding, which is why I made such a large order in the first place.😄 I definitely recommend the catfish, as the crunch of the batter blended so well with the tasty seasonings. It’s southern comfort nestled in the crests of Los Angeles. If you haven’t tried Gritz N’ Wafflez yet, you’re missing a treat!

I simply love authentic Black/Brown owned businesses. Jurni the owner was so hands on with me and my family at the grand opening. I was impressed on how she took time to meet each guest as well as make the most Immaculate spread of food. The Chicken was slap-yo-mama good, the cobbler was awesome & perfect, and the drinks refreshing. She was made to have a restaurant. I brought my wife and 16 year old son. Even my son was outdone with how great the service was and raved about the food. Thank you for showing us the best hospitality and great food respect.
