Both of my kids have attended SJF since they were three years old. Being that this is a small learning community, they have been able to enjoy a multitude of activities while establishing strong bonds of friendship and building a positive rapport with all teachers and staff. Any time I have a concern the principal and teachers are extremely responsive and tend to stakeholder needs. The new principal has also brought about many positive changes where stakeholders are involved in providing feedback and input, as well as much more accountability. If you want a safe, tight-knit small community that is conducive to learning for your child, SJF is the perfect place for you!
Its a really good school. Its just that, some of the kids tease and bully. Plus, the students are racist. For example, they keep saying ching chong, which is pretty offensive. Its the 7th-8th graders. You have to confront them about it. If you have the chance, please, make the detention better. Do t let them sit in the office, thats just relaxing. Can you atleast let them do something? Like something that will pay off their consequences. They need to understand. If you hear a complaint, please do something about it. Raise your voice, tell them to be nice, or etc. I really like the school though. It has really good teachers. They also have nice staff and the PE teacher is like really nice. This review is specific to the TK program and enrolling a 4 year old as a new student. It's been a great process and school year so far. Enrollment was easy, communication between school and parents is A+. And I especially can't say enough about the TK program and teacher. She is excellent, our son is much happier than I could have imagined. We're very happy here.
A good place, I left three years ago in 5th grade, it’s a little small and some of the teachers are a bit quirky, but great activities and stuff
