(June 17, 2023, 3:39 pm)I loved the theme at the Garland! Really neat decor, tastefully done. Service was great, pool was amazing in the morning, but was busy in the evening. Loved that they had a laundry facility, I did all my laundry before I returned back to London! There's a free shuttle bus to universal studios, which was 6mins away.
I went for breakfast in the morning at the restaurant and had the French toast, which was absolute perfection!
My only gripe about the Garland was that as a room of four guests, they room was very small. There was barely any space for four of us to open our suitcases. And you could hear the traffic outside. Regardless I enjoyed my time here! And happy enough! -

(June 10, 2023, 2:45 pm)One of the best customer service and follow-throughs I have experienced with a hotel.
Traveled as a family of 6 adults and one 2 y/o child, so we booked 2 deluxe queen rooms. Right after booking, I called over (late at night) and the front desk representative Toby was so helpful. I was aware that the hotel location is right next to the highway, so I asked to be located farther away from the highway. He was able to block the rooms then and offered to place the rooms next to each other with connecting rooms. In the next two days after my call and leading up to our check-in day, I called the hotel, and they confirmed these accommodations.
Arriving at the hotel seemed a bit hectic, but everyone was so helpful. Self-parking is $33 per night, valet parking is $37 per night. Just so happened that they had a large corporate event the day we arrived. The lot was double parked, so I did valet. That night, when the event ended, the lot was so empty, so I asked if I could switch from valet to self-parking (so I could park next to our hotel room). No hesitation, they agreed. They provided a "day pass" and even a "single exit" pass in case when we leave the next day the day pass doesn't work. The parking entrance/exit has a guy there, helping you out if you are stuck.
Best part of the parking - it includes parking the next day if you are going to Universal Studios. They have a free shuttle to Universal that drops you off right in front of the globe/security checkpoint/ticket booth. Right now, to park there at Universal ("Front Gate Parking") - the parking fee is $70.
The bellman out front is so nice and helpful, and they help with your luggage to your room - very helpful for our two large SUV-full of stuff. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and spacious. Mini-fridge had a few drinks, and the door had clear prices for each drink. While we didn't drink them, we appreciated the transparency. Shower was spacious and comfortable. We had a bedside lamp that was non-functional. We called the front desk, and they quickly sent someone over to check it out. While they weren't able to fix it that day, we appreciated the response and follow-through.
The Garland made our family Universal Studios trip seamless and fun. Thank you! -

(April 28, 2023, 4:54 pm)So happy we didn’t stay on Universal property. This place had a shuttle that runs every hour to and from the hotel to universal.
This is truly a boutique hotel. We are traveling with our 2 young kids and they made us feel very welcome. The pool was stunning and very clean, they even had a hot tub just for kids/families and a separate one for adults. Rooms were very nice and clean. -

(April 22, 2023, 6:54 pm)Oh my god if you're looking for a great place to stay look no further, this is a beautiful place to stay. The staff is very welcoming and nice courteous. Love the atmosphere. We plan our trip for universal with this hotel, and it had a shuttle service that accommodated my son that's in a wheelchair love that we were treated so special, the rooms are so clean and beautiful. The pool was nice. The sauna was nice. It has a bar at the pool would you would love it has lots of places gazebos where you can sit and relax and enjoy your evening if I could give this 50 stars I would I had a great time there at your hotel , we will be back. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
