I can't say enough amazing things about STAR preschool. My son attended there from 3-5 and just started kindergarten. He's adjusting great and I think that's 100% the result of the teachers at STAR. And my son, Liam, is one of a kind! He came to STAR after having a horrible experience at a Montessori school we enrolled him in. The structure and "coldness" of the education was heartbreaking and I was desperate to find a place where he would be his quirky self. I found that the minute he joined the preschool. Ms Christine, Ms Selena, Ms Anna, everyone welcomed him with open arms. They didn't care that he felt more secure wearing a hat all day every day. And it took time, but they got him to take it off. Sometimes. Lol! He enjoyed the playful atmosphere of the school and the rich activities. The exposure to animals and dance and language. He and I were both sad for him to leave! But he established great friends there. It's just really a special place.
I really can't say any negatives about STAR for me. If you are the type who really wants a strict education or the super structure or Montessori, then you might not like it. I will say though, Liam is WELL prepared for kindergarten. He had no problems transitioning in and had all the skills he needed. My feeling is they should be kids and happy as long as they can. Life is long. There plenty of time for academics! ????
Overall, I was completely happy with the love and support and education he got at STAR and I would recommend it to anyone.
