David Ditsworth M.D. at Back Institute

One year ago Dr. Ditsworth did surgery on two discs in my lower back. I am so glad I had him do the surgery. He had his own tools made, which are smaller than those other surgeons use, allowing him to reduce the bulge in my discs without cutting the lamanna of the spine or other bone or muscle. It was about a 4 hour outpatient surgery and then my wife drove me home. I was able to walk up the stairs on my own and felt very little pain and never use pain killers. My activity was extremely limited by the doctor for a long time, but now I am back to normal and getting back in shape. Also able to do work around the house I was having difficulty doing. Thank you Dr. Ditsworth.

I went to Dr D 2007. He relieved me of agonizing pain caused by c5 c6 c7. I am 55 yrs young. I surf and do any and all activities. I operate heavy equipment without hesitation.

About 15 years ago I had endoscopy surgery on L4 and it worked. For about $14K.
Then about 5 years later L5 showed up but then they wanted.$35K. I declined and left with my pain. Went to Dr. Nielsen in Orange and he suggested an inversion table. I tried that for about 3 weeks, 5 min in the morning, 5 min mid-day and 5 minutes at night. Guess what? It worked! After relieving the pressure on the disc, it tends to go back to its original position and the pain was gone! I feel sorry for those in pain and cannot afford the surgery. Try the inversion table, it may just work for you.

The surgery was very successful—for 11 years I had no problems. Recently I hurt my back; this time at L5-S1. So I decided to come back. I had surgery at the back Institute with Dr. Ditsworth about fourteen years ago. I had serious pain down my right side. I couldn’t sleep at night, I couldn’t do my normal activities, including working. So I researched a variety of different procedures, I found that a lot of doctors offer minimally invasive surgeries, however, the term is rather broad. Two doctors I talked to said there is in fact cutting bone and ligament. When I talked to Dr. Ditsworth, he said that there wouldn’t be that with the procedure that he uses. I have had a very successful outcome. I play sports; martial arts, tennis, golf, and I have been healthy for the last fourteen years.
