This is my local beach. Never too crowded. Always nice early in the morning. Walk along the beach or on the bikeway. Sunsets here are spectacular. Walk out on the jetty or just sit and watch the waves. In winter the surf can be big so be careful.
Beautiful and quiet. Not much to do but sit in the sun. Check how much parking is before you come here. Not too bad…only 3$!
This is our go-to local beach. The absence of a boardwalk lends to a chill atmosphere, even when it s crowded. We've lives in the immediate area for six years midweek afternoon walks, or sunset dinners never disappoint. Just started doing morning mediation (Day 4 and counting!) at this lovely spot. A great way to start the day! Even when I show up super late (10AM) ita still relatively empty.
Nearby restaurants fill in the boardwalk-less void, thank you very much. My fave is Playa Provisions. Parking is slightly limited due to construction so bear that on mind.
All night shoot with a film crew and managed to see a beautiful sunset after having a beer at a sports bar. Not very crowded but since LAX was nearby, plane noises detracted from my enjoyment. They have a great assortment of fire pits and will bring my fiancee here to share this relatively peaceful area.
Nice beach. I went with my wife and two young children on a Thursday morning. There was almost no one there. We parked in the parking lot by the park, which was easy to do, though there was a bit of a walk. The water was surprisingly warm. We had a good time. I did not see a place where we could rinse off before getting back in our cars, though.
