Cristina Maria is the BEST waxer in LA! I was growing my hair out for 1.5 weeks on my lower legs because I'm tired of shaving and waxing makes the hairs grow back slower and in some cases, eliminates hair growth completely. She powders your legs first (which no one has ever to me done before) and uses a hard wax which takes the hair out with less pain. I would highly recommend her services. She's located I side the beautiful L & R Salon, right in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Lots of metered and free neighborhood parking. I will never shave again. See you soon Cristina. Xo
If I could give Cristina/Waxology LA more than 5 stars, I would do just that. I found Cristina in May of 2020. Due to the pandemic, I stopped getting waxed in March of 2019 and I waited to resume until I was fully vaccinated. The lady who previously did my waxing, was not vaccinated when I returned and she had no plans to get vaccinated. She was also out and about socially and traveling. That didn’t sit well with me so that’s when I found Cristina via a Yelp search. Waxology LA had great reviews so I contacted Cristina. A must for me though was that Cristina needed to be vaccinated and she was. This alone made me happy knowing she was taking precautions to keep herself and her clients safe. Cristina made me feel comfortable from the first appointment. She’s professional, friendly, on-time and does an amazing job. She has also a super convenient and easy online booking system that also sends great reminders about upcoming appointments. I highly recommend Cristina and Waxology LA for all your waxing needs. I’m grateful I found Cristina and I plan to be a client for years to come.
I have been seeing Christine at Waxology for a few months now. First, all scheduling is done on-line and you can change your time at a moment's notice by using the scheduling program, which I like. The minor downside is that she is hard to contact if I am running late. However, the scheduling program books extra time to allow for this so it works out in the end. Also, she is always on time; I never have to wait for the client in front of me. She uses hard was as opposed to hot, soft wax. The hard wax is less painful; once in a while she misses a few hairs but she will go over the area to make sure she gets all of the hair. She offers waxing services for men as well. She is more expensive than others, but I find her to be very thorough and she will wax intimate areas that others shy away from. Parking: there are a few spaces in back but I always find metered parking nearby.
Two words - Definitely. Recommend. I've found my new waxing home! Cristina is truly an expert. I tried her services from a Groupon, and my wax was so good that I immediately planned a different service for a few days later and have already scheduled my next visit! Her technique is very efficient and she uses high quality products. And she uses the 'no double dipping' rule, which is really important to me. She also does lashes and eyebrows! Check her out.
