I had never been to Chronis. To me it was just another hamburger place. People speak so highly of this place. Their combo meals were okay. The hamburger meat was too thin though. The service was quick and the employees were friendly and the place was clean. Enjoy your visit to Chronis.
Location, right on the strip where most of East Los lore ushered in Latino History.
Food, Unassuming. Modest. No promising thrills, No pricing chills.
Customer Service, the 'Youngblood' behind the counter was not only pleasant but he was confident in his product as he was in building rapport(Google that)
On here, 5stars, on my own personal smartphone notebook,
10 stars!
My BF grew up in the area and wanted to show us his favorite place as a kid to eat. This place is a gem!! The pastrami was "roll your eyes back and slap ya momma delicious"! That's the best I can describe it. Hot dogs were amazing, and the chili cheese fries, Uh-mazing!
Forget Tommy's, this is the best chili spot. Great snappy hot dog with a soft steamed bun. French fries fresh from the fryer smothered in chili and cheese is my favorite while my husband prefers the chili cheese tamale. Cash only, highly recommend eating there or in your car as it doesn't travel that well.
Their menu is simple yet incredible. Classic Americana a taste you really want to savor. the prices are fair for the quality of the food is superb.. hi highly recommend this restaurant for a quick bite or to sit down outside from hot dogs hamburgers cheeseburgers double burgers with chili or without, even chili cheese fries and an occasional chicken burger it's all worth it to come down and try
