D J's Universal Comics

Owner is super helpful and kind. Provided a stool to pull long boxes out onto making it possible to look at the further end of the box of comics. Probably because I looked hot they offered me bottled water on my way out which I appreciated. Unfortunately I did not find anything, but if I'm ever in the area and in the mood for comics, I'll definitely look again.

DJ's Universal Comics is located at Universal City in Los Angeles (a few miles away from Universal Studios Hollywood). It is a nice cozy comic book store but packed with lots of Pop Culture Collectibles Ranging from of course Comic Books (From Graded, Modern, Bronze, Silver, and Golden Ages), Trade Paper Backs, Action Figures, Collectibles, and a lot of Pop Culture Assortment!

Cat, the owner is a cool, and down-to-earth individual who treats his customers (may they be new or regulars) as VIPs. He has extensive knowledge of comic books and if you need something, he will assist you right then and there. First time visiting and shopping at his store, the ambiance is cozy and you feel relaxed and worry-free browsing around his easy-to-navigate back issues of comic books. Need to find cool gifts? DJ's Universal Comics lineup of toys is massive from cool action figures, gaming cards, and Funko Pops (huge assortment to select and shop!). There are times that the store conducts in-store signings and meet-and-greet events of your favorite Celebrities, Comic-Book Creators, and Comic-Book Artists. Overall a Highly Recommended Comic Book Shop with a very large assortment of comic books and with an awesome owner to assist you, so when you leave his shop you carry that cool collectible! and that priceless smile of satisfaction!

I called in too see if they were selling comics I spoke to Cat, who gave me some great advice and was very helpful.

After calling over 6 different comic related stores, Cat was by far the most knowledge and friendly guy I spoke with.

Cool shop on Ventura above a pizza spot and a dispensary. They have a good selection of modern books and older keys. Best of all it’s one of the only places in the area that has out of print statues that are reasonably priced.
