This was the first skate competition I'd been to in 20+ years! I had a really cool time and the staff was great!
It’s a fun skate park for me because I grew up there
It's very big to skate and I got off the big ramp down. It got scary once I went off but I still did it. It's like a place for beginners and bikers. There always lots of people and beginners too. I went there in 2017 and I still love the park. I think it's a place for everybody to enjoy it and skate.
The only reason I don’t want to give a 5 Star review is due to the fact that this is, by far, one of my favorite skate spots and I’d rather not see it get any busier than it can already get. It’s such a great park though, that giving anything less would fail to give the park justice.
It’s a fairly large sized park- plenty of open room to practice riding if you’re new, as well as obstacles for every skill level - I often go with my girlfriend who is still learning how to even ride a board and she also says it’s one of her favorite parks. Whether you’re an advanced skater, or it’s your very first time on a board, there’s something for everyone at this park.
I’ve personally never had any kind of trouble with regards to any riff raff or anything - in fact, I often see children and their parents show up early to skate, and have even seen someone in a wheel chair doing their thing throughout the park (very cool!) and I’ve certainly never once witnessed any “sexual acts” like another review stated they had LOL. Further more, the graffiti throughout the park compliments the park immensely, giving it not only a unique sense of “character” but actually enhancing the park by adding some vibrant color and a touch of art that was brought to the park by none other than the skaters themselves. I think it’s great that members of the community have had a safe place to express themselves in a place that they regularly visit and skate, and it was done so artistically and it only adds to the already great park. The park is also well kept, clean, and I often see the local skaters sweeping it themselves and picking up trash - the park is never dirty and is well maintained. There’s minimal shade, which is one of the only complaints I could really have about the park. So it gets hot mid-day/afternoon.
I pass several parks on my way to this one nearly every day, and while some of those parks are good parks that I also enjoy skating, sheldon is by far one of my favorites and is a great place to skate. 5\5 for sure, absolutely worthy of checking out.
Yoo learned how to bike here. Place is low key sketch but fun fosho
