Great little shop! Staff is lovely and knowledgeable. Great selection of used, vintage, and antique books.

I was visiting my hometown Los Angeles from Philadelphia and neglected to pack reading materials. I sought out local bookstores and was informed of the existence of this place.

I was taken back to my childhood in Hollywood visiting the used bookstores and recalled being immediately assailed by the wonderful "old book smell" upon entering.

Thank you for struggling to exist. I miss those days. It is nice to know that parts of it continue to remain.

I went in looking for works from Thomas Hardy for my mother and something to give me hope for the coming future. I walked out with both for $3.50.

Mine was a collection of Christmas Stories by Charles Dickens. 😁

Love this small bookshop! They are only open two days out of the week which is the only downside. But I love to go look at their $1 section! Great prices and great stuff!

This is a magical bookshop! It's family run and has been open since 1958. It is the place to go for quality used and out of print books. Everything is organized perfectly, so you can get lost in your favorite topic.

They're only open 11 - 4 on Fridays & Saturdays and are near the Van Nuys Courthouse. I'm not sure that the owners won't retire soon, so I recommend that if you're a book lover, get there soon!

Amazing place I think I found some great stuff well organized his very helpful! I felt so welcomed and at home I didn’t feel like he didn’t want me there he offered to help me out he was always at the counter watching his tv but willing to help in a split second these two elderly couple are just straight from heaven i wish them the best and will continue to visit often i have no problem recommending this place! Just remember be patient humble your self and be nice more then anything this is a jewel of a place! I read most negative reviews and they don’t make sense in my opinion prices are fine there’s not a high demand for books I don’t mind paying his prices one bit. Visit them be polite and enjoy I can spend hours here. Amazing amazing amazing!!
