  For me, Iris was an instantly appreciated departure from the mass-production-style treatment centers that sadly seem to have become the industry standard. With no more than 6 clients at a time and a sizable treatment team, the client-to-staff ratio alone puts Iris miles ahead of most rehabs, especially in the individualized care arena.
  I really feel that successful long-term sobriety requires more than just AA or NA participation. With only a few other clients in the house, I quickly became comfortable in the group setting, and there was real emphasis from the clinical staff on my anxiety and depression.
  I've been to... quite a few treatment centers, and some of them I liked and would still speak highly of, but I've never seen a facility less money-driven than Iris. Elena and the whole treatment team seem to sincerely love helping their clients; nobody seems in it for just the paycheck.
  I'm now in their IOP program and I've really benefited from the smooth transition and continuity of care (staying with my therapist from residential). It's also really nice seeing those familiar faces and staying connected with the Iris family.

  I have been in and out of treatment since 2009. I went to promises West LA two summers in a row. I truly believe they honestly cared and it wasn't not about money and I did learn a lot. Since 2009 I have had many more experiences and detoxes and inpatient treatment facilities. As the years went on I notice the treatment industry was changing, and not for the better. I am what they call a "chronic relapser." I got arrested in 2016, and this time I was actually forced into treatment by a judge because I was facing prison and two felonies. a good friend of mine referred me to Iris healing retreat which had opened maybe a week or two before I got there. I entered they're angry, I Was 80 lb, I had given up and I had sworn I'd never go back to treatment. I no longer had believed in it I had been let down so many times by facilities that did not put clients needs first and it was all about the money. Elena is a ray of light, her heart shines as does her soul. That woman deeply cares about her clients and helping people with this horrific and deadly disease. Elena's staff welcomed me with open arms. Dapo and Ricardo , are two amazing men that work at that facility. they were loving, kind, and truly, truly cared. I only recommend Iris healing retreat to people in need of treatment. I believe in this place and I believe that this is one of the last places standing that isn't all about money and greed. It's truly about the welfare and the client's needs, and the client's needs always come first. at one point my family moved my apartment into storage, I had two cats, sadly one of them passed away in June, but I was so distraught with trying to find a place to place them until I left she even offered to let them stay in my room for a week. That's unheard of in treatment, and that's something I will never forget. it meant more to me than she will ever know because my cats are my children. the groups, the therapy, and the love and kindness that was shown for me there I had never seen it at any other Treatment Center. I can still call Elena and text her at any time and I entered Iris January 16th 2017 and she still is available for me when I need her. this place goes above and beyond any other treatment facility I've been to and trust me I've been to many. if you're in need and you need help I highly recommend I almost insist that you go to Iris healing retreat. it's a beautiful experience with a beautiful staff, and an amazing chef who can cook and make you laugh. this place brought me back to life and I no longer have a death wish. thank you to Elena and her staff because I would not be where I am right now if it wasn't for them and I will be forever grateful and appreciative. if I could give 20 million stars I would.

  Dr. Kapustina is one of the kindest, most committed people I've met. Thanks to her and the people at Iris healing my best friend is doing great with his recovery. He struggled with addiction for years, ans the Iris approach is finally getting results on him.

  After years of struggling with addiction I have found healing. It has been my greatest achievement so far. My retreat consisted of therapy, exercise, meditation and more. I was really able to communicate with the group but more than ever with my inner-self. Holistic approach was the best approach for me and I thank Iris Healing for helping me without hesitation.
