“I recently lost a dear friend who was a resident of Charnock for a a little over two years. It was always a delight to visit her there because she felt at home, I felt at home, the ambiance and caregivers were always lovingly gentle and helpful to her. Not to mention the wonderful aroma of their freshly prepared meals that my friend always said were quite tasty. When speaking with my friend's family we both agreed that they and I didn't have to worry about her because Charnock's care was like an extension of her family and friends. Thank you.”

“They just built a beautiful new sanctuary here and the parking lot is now larger! The ushers and hospitality staff were extremely kind and thoughtful. The worship was great and it's so refreshing to have a house of God in the community that is doing such good work! Blessings and Peace to all that visit or decide to place their membership here. You will definitely be in excellent hands!”

“I’ve been a loyal customer at Gloria’s since they were on Sawtelle in the little blue house! My twins practically grew up in that little shop and we all adored Lydia! Things have changed over the years, but thankfully they’re still around and I am happy to support such a wonderful neighborhood business! True to form, the staff is just as helpful and friendly as ever, and shopping there is always a pleasant experience. I took my very first cake decorating class with Helen, which for me later led to Culinary Arts School and a degree in Baking and Patisserie. You can be sure that the friendly faces at Gloria’s will inspire you into creating your own beautiful and delicious treats!!!”

“When my husband and I decided that we wanted to install carpet, we knew exactly where we wanted to go. Living in the area there are a plethora of places to choose from but after seeing the hustle and bustle of this store front day in and day out, we knew that they were busy for a reason. At Monarch Carpet we were pleasantly surprised to walk into a loving and caring environment and this was evident in the service we received from Joyce Tanner. She truly cares about her customers and takes all of your needs into account. She is the curator of patterns, textures and color. She knows how to find items to match your interior and her eye for design can bring you items that you never thought possible. Joyce really has an eye for design and it shows. We cannot wait to work with her again. She is a gem!”

“Mike is upfront and willing to work with you to get you what you need. He doesn't give you BS or beat around the bush. Google maps will lead you past their building, so be careful when getting here. It's entry is a little after the gas station and will be halfway into that building plaza and end up on your left.”

“I came to this place K-4th Grade, and man, this place is awesome! All the teachers I were so nice. For kinder, I had Mrs. H.Park, for 1st grade I had Mrs.K.Park, for 2nd grade I had Ms.L.Lee, for 3rd grade I had Mrs.S.Joo, and for 4th grade I had Mr.H.Lee. I give special thanks to Mr.H.Lee because he was the teacher that taught us correctly, and he also gave us a lot of P.E time after we did all our math.”

“I have a shaver given to me by my father and the battery has worn down twice over the last decades, the second time in the last year. Both times I have brought it to Electric Shaver Shop to be replaced, and both times I have been very pleased to have done so. Old school businesses like this, where they not only know what to do, but also have the parts on stock to replace the battery basically on the spot (half-hour wait--soldering is involved, so fair) are a real treasure of LA, and the kind of thing you don't just find anywhere--I know, cause I came back here from abroad because I was having trouble finding a similar place!”

“I'll make this quick and simple because I know you're just trying to eat. 🤙🏼 A decent size parking lot ✅ Still carpool if possible. Good food ✅ I recommend their lechon kawali 🔥 watch your blood pressure, though! 🤣 Not too busy ✅ During summer, just have a takeout. ✅ This place did not use AC when we visited. My wife and I were sweating like pigs. Thank goodness they have good food. It was worth staying for. Halo-halo ✅ Restroom 🚻 If you ever ate at Panda Express, that's how you order here. ✅ If not, here it is: 1 entree: 1 dish + Rice 2 entrees: 2 dishes + Rice It's simple. Enjoy! 🤙🏼 Feel free to follow for short but detailed and accurate reviews 😎”

“OH MY GOODNESS this place did a phenomenal job!!! My car looks better than when I bought it!! They handled both my claim repairs within the time frame they promised AND fixed up some other small things with my car that I’d just inquired how much it would cost to fix - they did em anyway and detailed my car, it looks so pretty and was for sure taken care of well!! Also not expensive compared to a number of shops I got quotes from, but also not SO cheap that you’d worry whether the job was actually done right - reliable - definitely recommend!!”

“Hands down one of the most FLAVORFUL breakfast experiences EVER! I’m a home chef and breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Food was cooked to perfection. Pork chops juicy, grits smooth creamy and LUMP FREE!!! And the FRUITY PEBBLE FRENCH TOAST goes CRAZY!!! I had the honor of meeting the owner/chef Brittany and her daughter and she shared her story with me and my family…truly humbled and grateful to have had the opportunity to taste a bit of her dream! Passion, talent and love all in one bite right in the middle of what some would call ‘the hood’ 🥰”

“I attended Betty Plasencia from 1977 to 1983. Back then the school's name was Cortez Elementary. I remember jumping the fence during recess and lunch time and going to the corner store to buy candy. I remember all the kids loved to kick the red balls over the fence and on to Temple Street. They put a stop to that after one of the balls landed on a TA's head and knock her out cold. How I missed my old elementary school days. - Guillermo Quezada”

“Our waitress told us we better give a good review and that's what this is. Wifey brought me here for lunch and got the Carnitas burrito dry that came with a small salad and their own thousand island dressing which was quite refreshing. I usually get tacos, however decided to try it and it was quite delicious, probably bc I love their refried beans. My wife got their Campechana *Seafood Cocktail* and we both got a limonada *Limeade* to wash it down. You get chips & salsa as you are seated, I ate so many that I couldn't finish my burrito. Place is clean, organized, and the service is the main reason why they get a full five ⭐ s. They make you feel welcome and they are friendly. I failed to get our servers name however, you cannot go wrong at this amazing Mexican restaurant with any of their staff. We'll be back to try more items on the menu. So if you are in the area and want some authentic Mexican Cuisine, stop by and say hi.”
