An Official Hiking Review:
This trail offers a beautiful view and ample parking. The trailhead is located in a residential area, so make sure to be respectful of the surrounding residents. Fabulous trail and would recommend.
I love this area so much. If you’re feeling up to driving up PCH and are near Zuma, this is a pretty easy hike (depending on which route you take). There is an abundance of parking and it’s easy to find, you just follow the road until it ends. There are bathrooms (port-a-potties and hand washing stations) which is great if you are a little too hydrated and need to go. The path is very dusty because they have horseback riders on the path and they’ve pretty much destroyed any hard dirt. The positive here is it’s really soft and not hard on your knees or ankles. Definitely recommend!
A hidden gem.
***Remember
You will notice that this Trailhead is located within a residential neighborhood. It is easy to forget this, especially after taking in some of the scenery.
So please, be/stay mindful of where you are; and be respectful - especially if you have the urge to wander about.

Zuma Canyon Trailhead is the beginning to ascension. And the best part is that a range of skill levels can enjoy that feeling.
Nice area to hike or ride a horse. But no mountain biking.
Easy parking, not crowded, great for a light walk/hike with my kids.

Early on this year there was little to report as the lack of rain made for a pretty barren winter. The unusual deep dust of winter had been knocked down by the late spring rains but things are still unusually dry and the dust has returned.
