  Coach Brian Armijo and his Versus staff provide the best experience a child could have in sports. ALL children, regardless of athletic ability, get to participate here and learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a safe, friendly and culturally diverse environment. Ive seen my son and daughter grow in strength and confidence while making good friends along the way. Kids learn mutual respect and a work ethic for achieving which will help them persevere throughout their lives. There is so much more I can say but I highly recommend you find out for yourself. You will not be disappointed. Versus is the place to be!

  I visited here while on vacation from across the country and they welcomed my son and I with open arms. I had a blast with their adults class. I had Coach Brian for the day and he was very informative. He reviewed what they’ve been working on and caught me up to speed within minutes.
  Couch Brian also taught the kids class as well. Their kids program range from beginners to advanced. Training at a new place can be difficult for a 7 year old but what he said made it all worth while. “Daddy, it was like training at home with my friends, but how I have new friends.”
  I would recommend this location to folks of all experience. You’ll definitely see us there when we are in town again. Thanks again.

  I trained with these guys for about 6 months. I have trained at many different schools around the world and am really impressed with the coaches here, Brian and Jimmy. I am still a white belt and beginner, my progress here was much faster than anywhere else because these guys put a lot of thought into ingraining the basic techniques in fun and challenging ways. I work as a teacher and was really impressed with their ability to break things down and their progression of incrementally building upon techniques. This place is perfect for anyone wanting to start martial arts, it's affordable, a warm and welcoming environment with class mates and coaches who care about your improvement and a community of people all dedicated to getting good while having fun. I am leaving the US for a while and will really miss this place and the people.

  Versus Fitness & Martial Art is an amazing place to learn martial art and work out. All the coaches and students there are amazing individuals. The key factors to a successful gym are: Honor, character, and respect. Here you will not find coaches or students with egos or attitudes. Everyone at the gym wants to learn and help better each other. Coach Brian is a passionate instructor, who has helped many people develop great martial art skills and strong character. It is a clean and welcoming environment. This place is definitely a hidden gem.
