(September 19, 2018, 7:20 am)I thought being on insurance panels would make my life easier! Little did I know that all the paperwork involved; all the waiting on hold to determine not only eligibility but also where to send the claims; all the re-filing of claims and other insurance required information; all the checking of authorization validity and time spent requesting new auths; etc.; etc. would make my life hellacious!! I didn't sign up for all of that. Even when I found a biller through a friend of a friend, I seemed to spend an inordinate amount of time asking her to find out where payments were that had not been received after 4, 5 and sometimes 6 months. I also wasted vast amounts of time attempting to ascertain why claims had been denied (more time on hold!). Many of the payments I never received and quite a few of the denials were never reversed.
And then I found Valurie Practice Management! What a find! Valurie actually does all the business and lets me do the therapy - the part I love doing and the only part I've ever wanted to do. I don't need to worry about denials or non-payments - Valurie takes care of all of that. In fact, I made more money last year (the first year I used Valurie) with pretty much the same amount of work!
They didn't teach us in school about the business of running a therapy office. That's fine with me because with Valurie I can concentrate on the psychotherapy side and trust that Valurie will handle all the business with my best interests underlying their work. I cannot recommend Valurie Practice Management highly enough! -

Now I focus on providing the best psychological services to my clients and let Valurie focus on managing the administrative parts of my practice. My Account Manager goes after every cent I am owed and I've actually been able to cut back my hours a bit. Thank you!
