  There is something for everyone in this place. There are multiple stores from Aesop to Zara and in between. There is a myriad of restaurants for every taste. Try Hello Gelato, Salt and a Straw and Wanderlust for artisanal ice cream!

  While OLD TOWN Pasadena has gone through several drastic changes over the past few years, it has certainly altered the economic landscape of this corner of Pasadena and has definitely hung on to its narrative of shopping and dining. I found today's visit to be rather enjoyable although quite a bit has changed. My usual haunts have vanished and my places that I had normally visited on a regular basis are either boarded up or just left empty. This pandemic has seriously shifted life and lifestyle to a point of unrecognizable dimensions. As I was walking around OLD TOWN I was struck with a sense of melancholy, I faint remembrance of the fun and laughter and camaraderie that I once shared... right here. I'd stop here for a bite to eat after I got off work or finished a project and wanted to celebrate it with friends or loved ones. MI Piaci or Il Fornaio or the old Market City just down the street from the old Dodsworth building or too... up the street from Rose City Diner... lol or the old hidden restaurant over on GreenStreet .... Magpies. All of these establishments or venues that I shared experiences in with close friends and family members and each of those moments at the time felt like it was out of a magazine or trendy "hip" movie filled with laughter and the clanking of crystal stemware holding beautiful bubbly tinted fluid. Everyone cladded their finest Sunday bests and elegantly scented for the occasion before the beautiful backdrop of a fine dining experience.... now it's finally hits me that those days have ended and our world has changed...
