I went in for extensions and she did an awesome job matching my hair color and applying the hair extensions perfectly so it blends in with my natural hair. She is very patient as she answers any questions you may have and I didn’t feel rushed as I have in past salons. The atmosphere in the salon is very calm and relaxing. My granddaughter also went in for a haircut and style. She did an amazing job and took time to explain how to style her hair and what products to use. I have had hair extensions for the past 5 years, so when I came to see Helen for the first time I figured it would be a fairly routine extension pick up/ maintenance experience - and then I sat in her chair: Helen is an artist, in the truest sense of the word. Her technique is pure artistry. She is a master of the art of hair extensions. I didn’t even realize there was an art to them more like a labor, then I watched her work with such precision and delicate intricacy. You can feel the love and joy in her hands as she works and she is so gentle on the hair and scalp, working calmly, confidently and efficiently and never rushing, pulling or yanking. Not only was her placement perfect, but she made the extensions feel so comfortable on my head that they are truly light as air, so comfortable that I forget I have extensions at all! This is a revelation for me as I thought daily discomfort was just part of having extensions due to the tautness of the beads or the weight of the weft, etc. Not so with Helen. Now I know that because of her expertise there is no need to be in discomfort because of extensions at all. This was astonishing to me. After seeing Helen I even sleep better because there is no more tightness or discomfort on my scalp! I never knew wearing extensions could feel so comfortable until I came to Helen! I can brush through them root to tip and there is no pulling or bumpy spots - it’s so smooth as though it is all my natural hair. They feel completely secure without hurting my head one bit. There’s more - her technique blends the extension hair into my natural hair so seamlessly that truly no matter how much wind may blow or no matter how I style my hair - up down straight curly, you cannot see the extension tracks! I repeat - you cannot see the tracks!! I used to constantly be in fear of the slightest breeze exposing my weave or only wearing my hair just one certain way so as not to expose the weave but Helen’s expert technique makes it so they behave just like your own natural hair and no one would ever know it was a weave unless you told them. All of this was so unexpected for me after having extensions for so many years, but after one visit with Helen I now cannot imagine having my weave done by anyone else. Once you know, you know! Helen’s work is like a symphony, a ballet or a beautiful painting. She is an elite artist in a class by herself. It is evident in her work that she has thousands of hours of experience and that this is her passion and that she genuinely LOVES doing extensions. She will completely change how you see your hair in the mirror and in photos and how you feel about your hair. First time getting my hair styled and cut in years. I’m very picky when it comes to people touching my hair due to bad experiences from years ago but my experience here was so much fun and I felt very comfortable. I am beyond thankful and satisfied with how my hair came out. I let Helen pretty much do what she wanted because I had no clue what I needed to do with my hair and let me tell you…I am so in love! She legit brought my hair back to life. This will definitely be my go to spot.

Helen is such a skilled and talented stylist! I have been seeing her for six years and have never had a less than stellar experience. She sincerely listens to what I want, gives honest and constructive feedback and then makes miracles happen on my fine, frizzy hair. She is flexible, engaging and an all-around wonderful person! I don't live close to her but will travel anywhere to use her services!
