“I live in Washington now, but this market makes me wish I moved back to Pasadena! We didn’t have troubles parking, however we arrived around 11:30 so the amount of people was slowing down a bit. This is an early market with some people selling out before they close so I would suggest visiting earlier! The vendors and quality that everyone brings is some of the best I’ve ever seen!! You will find the freshest of produce, flowers, and bulk items like nuts, dried fruits, honeys and marmalade’s, sweet treats and savory. Most vendors seemed to be cash only although some took card. I didn’t have any cash and I’m on vacation and not doing much cooking so I didn’t get to take home any of the incredible produce, but if I lived here this would likely be my primary source of produce for my household! My friend and I did buy some incredible dried cherries, apples, honey roasted almonds and jalapeño stuffed green olives from one vendor. We also got baked tapioca from another. I wish I knew the name of this vendor because that baked tapioca was one of the best treats I’ve ever had!! Not too sweet but light and fluffy. Ugh, I’m drooling! This market is so lovely and I’m envious of the residents who get to experience it every Saturday!”

“There are not as many incubators in LA as in the Bay area or San Diego for biotech startups, especially the incubators with wet lab capability; we did quite some search and visits before we decided to choose PBC, and it turns out we made the right choice: 1) PBC has wet lab space including benches, fume hoods, as well as cell culture rooms; the recent renovation even included installation of a cold room as well as a BSL-II cell culture facility; so it fits a wide range of biotech startups. 2) there are a lot shared use equipment, including balances, centrifuges, HPLCs, et al, and the full list is provided on PBC website, this is very important for early stage startups since you don’t want to spend too much to buy a lot of expensive instruments/equipment to test your ideas out. So the shared equipment is really huge for the startups. 3) The staff at PBC are so friendly and always there to help you, they not only try to raise some fund for PBC to purchase more shared equipment (now they even consider to acquire a benchtop NMR for the incubator), but also try to connect the tenant startups with potential investors and partners, which are so important and useful for startups. In addition, people from other tenant companies are also very nice and willing to offer help if possible. It has been a great experience to have our startup work in PBC!”

“Dr. Henry is an amazing phenomenal doctor and has been treating my friends and family for about 20 years give or take. If you have something that’s particularly rare or having a hard time getting a diagnosis, he is the doctor to see! He will get you what you need immediately and goes above and beyond for his patients! His bedside manner is by far the best of any doctor I have met in my entire life and I only hope that more doctors can take a page from Dr. Henry about his bedside manner! The quality of care you get is definitely worth any of the downsides - which is why my rating isn’t lower than the quality of healthcare that you get! Only a few downsides: - Parking can be tight so try to arrive early enough so you can find parking directly behind or nearby enough to walk! - Sometimes the office is super slow or backlogged in regards to appointment times or billing. However the majority of all of the staff are extremely friendly and take care of you since you are a valuable patient! Due to appointments sometimes taking a bit, I recommend that you bring something offline to do while you wait as there’s no wifi and very little phone signal strength. A good book, a magazine, etc. is good for the waiting room! - Be wary of some new hires to the staff though because they don’t always have the experience of working at such an office with high expectations. Double check to make sure that your appointment is locked in with any new hires! ~ Recently I witnessed this woman who had an appointment, but the person who took it never marked it down correctly, even though the doctor had it in their schedule. So be safe, and double check appointments just in case this happens! Aside from these minor office downsides, rest assured you are in the best, most capable hands in the LA county area!”
