(February 11, 2018, 5:17 pm)Riviera United Methodist has been our church home for 28 years. Throughout that time, we have attended weekly services and become very involved in its many vibrant ministries, from worship to fellowship, education, outreach, music and the arts. One of Riviera's amazing programs is the Rejoice in Art! Fine Art Fair and Exhibition, which is presented to the public each October. Riviera also has a long history of excellence in music, with outstanding worship music and free monthly concerts for the community in varying musical styles. The church has been instrumental in the Christian formation of our children, beginning with Baptism and continuing through Sunday school, children's choirs, Vacation Bible School, junior and senior high youth groups and mission trips, and even youth music ensembles. They are now grown, and they still often visit and attend with us. I have no doubt in the future they will look to Riviera United Methodist to help nurture their own children if they still live in the area! Our church is housed in a spacious, beautiful facility overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and it is a wonderful place to visit and feel at home. Our lives have been profoundly impacted by this welcoming church, which truly radiates love, hope and peace.

(February 11, 2018, 3:46 pm)I became a member of the church on December 2016 after singing in the Chancel Chorus since 2014. I am so blessed to see a church with a warm feeling every time I walk in. The community who frequently attend the church are of open minds, open hearts, and leave open doors for anyone of any race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc. The RUMC also promotes music and arts for all ages. Come take a look at the events this church holds!

(February 7, 2018, 1:03 pm)Riviera is a welcoming church with a fantastic music program. My family chose Riviera because the congregation was so open to young families participating in worship. Pastor Amy's sermons make you think but lift you up for the week ahead. I look forward to church every week because of the uplifting service but also because the church is one big family, and everyone is loved and cared for.
