MATCHA CAFE MAIKO

Tried this place for the first time in Honolulu. Wife and I loved it. We had the mixed matcha soft serve on waffle cones. Found out there was another location in California. We tried it here in Rowland Heights & it was just like we remembered it to be. Tasty & perfect for any matcha lovers. We particularly love the texture of the soft serve here which has a nice smooth icy texture. Not heavy on the creamy or foamy like others. The waffle cones are House made which is nice. The owner is very nice & inviting. They have a loyalty card which I got filled up. Time to get that freebie!

Good matcha soft serve! The matcha flavor is strong so you can taste the slight bitterness of the tea, which I love. Good texture and not too sweet. It’s definitely a step up from your regular green tea ice cream, but I could do with a bit more creaminess. The waffle cone was yummy, as well. I’ll have to come back and try their many other options.

I didn't think I'd like it. But surprisingly it's good. Soft texture, lightly sweet without a heavy aftertaste. Matcha flavor is strong. The Vanilla Matcha swirl is a good combo balance since I only want a tad of bitter green tea taste.

Will return.
