Bendorf Piano Studio

  When I was beginning private piano lessons, my mom had to look for many teachers, none of which were quite right. With Mr. and Mrs. Bendorf (Mr. Bendorf was my teacher, but Mrs. Bendorf often came out to offer some extra help), I felt that they pushed me to always try to improve something without ever becoming demanding or harsh. In fact, I felt that while they were teachers with high expectations, they were two of the most encouraging and gentle teachers I had ever been with. I was able to develop not only as a pianist, but as a person with the Bendorfs. Through recitals, studio classes, and many other events and opportunities, they guided me to grow as an individual with confidence, humility, and alacrity over the years. I am sad to be leaving their studio as I attend UCLA (Mr. Bendorf also helped me prepare supplemental applications for college, and I wrote about experiences from this studio in ALL my college applications!) and will continue to practice independently in my spare time, as Mr. and Mrs. Bendorf have helped nurture my mind to love all kinds of music with or without their wonderful teaching. I cannot describe the impact they have had on my life and how much their effort has meant to me. I would definitely recommend studying under them, regardless of your or your child's age.

  I have been a student here for almost 10 years now. Their commitment personally and musically to their students is above and beyond, and their complete approach to music encourages growth in all areas. They have taught and guided me in theory, aural skills, how to read, how to improvise, and how to write. Now I am going to school as a music major on scholarship, and I couldn't have done it without them. I always recommend them first to anyone looking for an excellent piano education.

  My 9 year old daughter has been taking lessons from Adam since last fall. She has loved it and I have enjoyed watching the two (Adam and my daughter) work together. Adam is very professional, patient and kind. He is also funny, very talented and knows when to nudge my daughter when he knows she can do more. It has been an excellent experience and I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn piano!

  My son had the privilege of studying piano under Adam Bendorf for a year before we moved from Valencia. It was by far one of the most treasured times he has ever experienced! In addition to learning how to play the piano, my son also gained a sincere appreciation for music. We cannot thank you enough, Adam! I wholeheartedly endorse Bendorf Piano Studio.

  The Bendorf's are excellent piano teachers! My son has taken lessons with Adam for a few years now. My son's technique and skills have grown leaps and bounds. They are both gentle, fun, yet focused and professional with their students. The lessons are given in a spotless, professional environment on a beautiful piano. The recitals are top notch, and you can tell that the growth of the students began with having amazing instructors.
