Unlike most traditional parks, this one extends along the bluffs like one long strip, going parallel with as well as overlooking the coast. One can get the surreal feeling as if this is the edge of the world, being on top of the cliffs, just above the ocean. It may as well be considered that, since this is exactly where route 66 ends its great journey! To top off the Palisades Park, it's the ultimate place to go and bring a significant other, a child, a relative , yourself to go and work out, etc! Regardless if you're familiar with it or have been there a few hundred times, it truly never gets tiring..
Stopped by for a quick run and the trail was perfect for this! Bathrooms were one of the cleanest I’ve never experienced. Great trail and will return again
The park is lovely and generally well maintained. It is a great place to walk and enjoy the views! The only thing I would change is to have parking times be consistent along the whole stretch of the park as well as more monitoring of the building facilities.
Great park ,it stretches from Santa Monica Pier ( Colorado Blvd & Ocean Ave) to Ocean Ave Extension, sits high up overlooking the great views of the ocean and North side of the coastline towards Malibu Beach. Great for a stroll or biking along Ocean Ave. It has bathrooms along the way as well.
The pier is a peaceful and calming place to walk to. The end of the pier is scrambling over very uneven rocks so be careful and watch your step. At the end you are greatest with panoramic views and often sea lions in the water.
