Great place for a uphill workout!
Great place and so close to the city
Parking is 10 dollars, or you can park not far from the entrance on entrada rd, but get there early because the street parking gets full fast. I think it is worth paying the ten dollars especially if you are going hiking and will be there a couple hours.
Fun little hike to Eagle Rock or Musche Hike-In camp. Pro-tip: parking right outside on the street is free. Sometimes crowded though. Then it’s a short walk in.

More than 11,000 acres of land are preserved in the park. Excellent recreational opportunities for hikers as well as mountain bikers (restricted to fire roads) and equestrians. A good place to start a visit to Topanga State Park is Trippet Ranch, once a "gentleman's ranch" for a weekend getaway from the city.
Musch Trail is not only my favorite trail in Topanga State Park - it's my go-to trail in Los Angeles. To get here, start at Trippet Ranch (you can access other trails from here, too) off of Entrada Road. If you want to avoid the $10 parking fee, just part on Entrada and walk down.

There is no reservations system, and it doesn't seem heavily used, but I would recommend phoning the park before-hand on 310 455 2465 to check on conditions. Talking to a ranger at Trippet Ranch when you get to the park so they know you're there is a good idea too. The campground is halfway along the Musch trail.
Trippet Ranch is the headquarters for Topanga State Park. The grounds offer shaded picnic areas, grassy wildflower strewn meadows, a self guided natural trail and numerous hiking trails. Nearby Viewing Sites:
