Madre! Oaxacan Restaurant and Mezcaleria

We come to Madre! often because we love the food, the drinks, the service, the atmosphere, and the authenticity. Sometimes when we have brought friends with us, which is often, we'll sit at a table but when it is just 2 of us, sitting at the bar is awesome! We love watching Sam and the bar staff making up their specialty drinks. Two of which I've posted here - 1 Old Fashioned next to a Mezcal Old Fashioned which is my husband's favorite and now when we go anywhere, EVERY Old Fashioned is measured next to these. We're yet to find any that measure up!😆 Some close but no cigar😄 We highly recommend the Elote, the trio of salsas to start with and we love the 'family style' platters. If you can't eat all at the restaurant, take it home as it tastes just as good later! The mole sauces ... we're still deciding on which we like the best so we will chop'n'change till we do decide 😋 We hope you enjoy Madre! as much as we do🤩

Absolutely incredible experience. Staff was super friendly, ambience was amazing, everything was very clean. Service was SUPER fast and the food was incredible. Not a single thing we ordered that I wasn't happy with. The dessert, specifically the chocolate galetta with ice cream, was fantastic. Live music was a very nice touch! Would definitely come again if I were in the area.

I highly recommend it. The food was amazing, so much flavor and texture. The atmosphere is great, they have live music, but it's not overwhelming. The service is excellent. Can't wait to find back.

I had my birthday dinner there. Great place to get together with family, friends, or a date. The customer service was great. Food was delicious and authentic. They also had beautiful art work and plants. Parking is on the street. It’s best to get a reservation prior.

The food was amazing, and unlike any other food I've tasted before. It was a very unique experience, and I'm so glad to have come... I'd definitely come again.

A lot of reviews of this place are hyper focused on service, and while it is a little slow, it definitely will not ruin your stay here, and you'll barely notice it since you'll be listening to the excellent live music they have. Our waiter was very friendly and was always smiling.
