(January 6, 2019, 12:45 am)This restaurant is both the most expensive and the most impressive I have ever been to. A party of 2 is not walking away for less than $100+ dollars. That said, I don't even know where else you can find sushi at this caliber. We found this place because it was written up in a newspaper that we received as packaging for an eBay seller's item (!!) and it was written in Japanese with gorgeous photographs so we had to see what it was about. Sure enough, my partner and I were the only non-Asian people in the restaurant and we knew we had walked into some place very special. Before seeing the prices on the sushi, food, and drink menus, the Rolex store upstairs in this shopping center could have told us how upscale the site would be but we didn't read the cues. It is subtle luxury. It took a while to notice the many temperature-regulated wine cabinets, the huge solid exotic wood tables, or the high label sakes, wines, and champagnes. The sushi menu features 2 pc sashimi from 6 to 40+ dollars. We ordered the premium chirashi and were so wowed. It included fresh wasabi, raw sweet shrimp with sea urchin, shrimp heads that we could have deep fried or served in miso soup, the best tuna, salmon, white fish, and silver skin fish we've eaten, seaweed, shredded seasoned tunas, misago, and an amazing rice I cannot describe well enough. If you're within 100 miles, check it out. If it's your birthday, they will sing happy birthday to you. You may not hear English during your visit. Don't miss this rsturant--and if you go, don't ever plan to eat regular sushi again because you can't.
