Park for free at Walnut Ranch Park and take a short walk heading west on Amar to find the entrance to this hidden gem. There is a conspicuous sign that marks the start so you can't miss it. While the first half of the hike is a good workout that is filled with uphill switchbacks through dry brush, the latter part is mostly flat and/or downhill that takes you through what seems to be the big backyard of a residential community. Make sure to wear sunscreen because there is very little shade along the entire trail. There are a few overlooks near the latter part that provide nice views of surrounding cities. The best thing about this hike - you'll find more peace and quiet here than at hikes such as Cahuenga Peak.
One more thing, how did that Chrysler LeBaron end up at the bottom of the ravine?!
This is my happy place!! Love mother nature
It's extremely a good place for a hike or walk. You can bring animals along for a companion. At night has a beautiful view to look at with your partner.
A very nice clean walking trail. It was 3.92 miles with great views of the 10 freeway cities and the 60 freeway cities
what a gorgeous view here. The trail is extremely easy and very scenic. I really liked it and plan on coming back. The parking is a bit hard to find because it is a residential street on the drive up but you should be okay. It was almost empty when we came mid afternoon. The whole area is very quiet and peaceful. There are slight dips on the trail and a tiny bridge which was nice. Keep an eye out for any critters as well, signs are posted but be mindful
