(June 25, 2018, 8:39 pm)Step back into Bohemian 1920's LA, at the former home and studio of modernist masters Rudolf Schindler and Richard Neutra. They built this simple wood and cement complex when they worked for Frank Lloyd Wright on his textile block projects including Holkyhock House, Barnsdall Park. The very survival of this modern experiment in living, and apparently the morality of that time, is a miracle. At this very moment an atmospheric "Hansel and Gretel" house and bungalows is being razed across the street!

(January 11, 2018, 2:26 am)The Schindler House - one of the earliest and most important modernist homes built in Los Angeles - was full of wonderful revolutionary art spinning Disney on its head with a show entitled "How to Read El Pato Pasqual: Disney's Latin America and Latin America's Disney. I was in both art and architectural heaven. Great job!
