Using the regular unleaded 87 octane is really all you need; unless your vehicle calls for a higher octane...91. After the glass guy ghosted me I hit up Emerson at Mr Smog and Registration Services. He is the man. A repair like this would usually be at least a hundred bucks considering it's an older BMW and he did it for free. Only took him a few minutes, but was an awesome gesture. “I have been coming here for what most be over a decade now and have always been quite happy. Prices are good, work is always top notch, and they never try and push unnecessary work. I have had routine oil and spark plug changes, new tires, brakes, shocks, water pumps, power steering, radiators, belts, complete new engine, and misc other general repairs across five different vehicles (domestic and import) and they have always been great to work with. As others have mentioned, it's best to call ahead and see how busy they are if you're looking for same day service but typically it's not usually a long wait with most appointments being set for a day or two later. Anyways these are my go to mechanics for the majority of work on my vehicles. They are solid guys.”
