“There is always an open invitation to join the 1st Pentecostal Church of God in Long Beach on Sundays at 11 AM, and you will always leave happier and spirit-filled when you leave at 1 PM. We are the American Dream for baby and adult Christians. Our Pastor Eddie is also a Chef and his wife Sister Boran work with Autistic children for extra jobs. We have yard sales and do Homeless Outreach. We have baptisms. We always say come as you are - God is love and is no disrespector of persons, we are all God's Children. We accept you whoever you are - even if you don't speak English well, we have some church members from almost everywhere. Everybody is helpful and talented. We are not conventional especially on Holidays, we have games that give prizes, like Double Jeopardy, we have a Luau every Father's Day, we have a Children's Ministry, a choir, and a complete band of teenagers+ that have taught each other musical instruments, Christmas is Amazing - we go out Carroling at Convalescent Hospitals. Best of all we livestream on Facebook so if you miss out on coming too church at least you won't miss God's Word. I am the Bible Reader for the Congregation and occasional Acapella singer. wear your masks and stay safe.”

“This church is authentic and the congregation is passionate. The pastoral staff and worship team will lift you up from your heavy burdens and lift your spirit. The building reminds me of an old village in Europe with market lights before you walk in to the main auditorium. The church pews and organ pipes tell a history and makes you feel like you’re in a traditional setting. But there’s nothing traditional about this church and the message of Jesus. My only wish was the service was longer. It was a little over an hour. Coffee and donuts provided before and after. Great church!”

Thankfully they had bilingual services, so I was able to understand everything and actually got Emotional the first sermon I heard. My children and I love going. Once a month there is potluck that all are welcome to attend. The pastors teaching is clear and biblical. He is personable and fun to be around. There is Sunday school each week also. “This preschool is awesome! My five year old son and two year old daughter are both falling in love with learning because of this school. Every day teachers demonstrate that they care about my kids’ individual development while encouraging their social collaboration skills. The teachers at this school are role models to children and to adults alike. I have personally gained so many valuable parenting skills by observing the teachers interact with the kids. In addition, the preschool events bring children and parents together to build relationships and foster community. Every weekend I mountain bike with dads that I've met through preschool events. How cool is that! So not only are my kids surrounded by teachers, friends, and parent volunteers who nurture their development, but I too have built terrific new relationships with preschool families.
