“This place has redefined my view of Christian churches. I came in as a non-believer and have seen the Glory of God change my life in this place. It is full of dedicated servants of God who wish to wish to please only Him, and always give their best. A progressive and modern church that remains integral to God's word. I couldn't have asked for a better church.”

“I've been a Catholic all my life and this is my favorite church, period. It is a Catholic church in full communion with Rome but they follow the Eastern Rite. This church serves as a church for two Eastern Catholic communities: the Russian-Greek Catholics (10am mass) and the Melkite-Greek Catholics (845am mass). The masses use the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, where almost everything is sung (except homily of course). The Russian-Greek service is in English, while the Melkite-Greek is mostly English, with some songs in Greek and Arabic. Yes, Catholics may take communion under the same circumstances and with same requirements as for a Roman Catholic church. (You might notice little kids taking communion -- that's because in the Eastern Catholic church, they give all 3 sacraments of initiation at the same time - Baptism, Confirmation/Chrismation, Eucharist). I was raised as a Roman Catholic, not Eastern Catholic, but I find the mass here particularly edifying. I especially like the a capella singing in the Russian-Greek service. To be fair, it is not for everyone. Some of my Catholic friends/family loved it, while some found it too different. Besides the beauty of the mass, I also love Fr. Alexei Smith's homilies. Like I said I've been a Catholic all my life, attending mass regularly, but somehow Fr. Alexei is able to make thought-provoking homilies every week, with perspectives that I've never heard before, full of wisdom. I also love the church itself, with its beautiful hand-painted iconostasis (a screen separating the sanctuary (which represents heaven) and the congregation (which represents earth). Everything is rich with symbolism. If you are a Christian, especially if you are a Catholic, and want to see a church and mass that truly feels sacred, I highly recommend going there at least once.”

“It is a small spiritually awake church that has been open for 18 years. Early morning prayer and Friday prayer meeting are often held by other churches. The pastors take care of and serve each member of the congregation as if they were family. I've been going for over a year, and personally I'm getting a lot of help. Every week in intercessory prayer, we pray for places in need of prayer around the world with news and other materials. During the morning worship service, the pastors and church members who preach according to the Word come before the Lord and pray fervently. Every Friday, church members go to various places in LA to evangelize, We often volunteer to deliver food to the homeless on Saturdays. Location and parking information: It is located on the second floor of the first church of Nazerene (an old red brick building) The parking lot entrance is on W 3rd st. Take 3rd Street onto Juanita Ave. Visitors can come up the stairs after parking and come to the chapel. If you are not sure, I would appreciate it if you could contact me on Google phone before worship time. Saturday Children's School (Registration inquiry: Pastor Han Hyun-sook) : Children can play Hangeul (Hangeul education audio-visual materials and textbooks), art (early childhood education for majors), music activities (accompanist evangelist direct musical instrument training) and exercise throughout the day, so that infants and preschool children can play together during break time It is a program. Regarding Physical Education - The church has a large indoor gym and outdoor playground. *As of February 2023: We are looking for young volunteers with a will. In particular, a physical education volunteer at the Saturday Children's School who can come out on a week. Even if you are not a new believer, there are many people who visit the church every time they think of you to worship and pray. It is a spiritually correct church that serves the saints with all their hearts as Jesus leads. It is a beautiful church where members help each other. Please visit once.”

“After consuming reformed resources over many years from theologians like Luther, Calvin, Owen, Machen, Sproul, Fesko, Godfrey, etc, I was thrilled to finally discover a wonderful, Biblically solid, confessional, reformation church here in Santa Clarita! This friendly and warm congregation is committed to sound theology and caring for each person that walks through the door. The minister, a brilliant and approachable graduate of Westminster Seminary (not to mention an expert in Greek and Biblical Theology), faithfully preaches from the Bible, proclaims the Gospel in every service, cares for each person in church, and can answer in an understandable way the most difficult challenges/questions. There’s a large group of children ranging from infant to teenagers that are also extremely welcoming and kind - one of the coolest things was seeing teenagers and older kids being so kind to my young daughter. There’s also regular men’s and women’s Bible studies, frequent gatherings, and LOTS of excellent food. I love bringing my family to hear the truth, be ministered to by the Word and sacraments, and enjoy the fellowship. More importantly, in an era of great compromise, error, and novel doctrine, I trust SCURC to be steadfast to their Biblical, confessionally reformed, historical, orthodox, sound convictions. Wherever you are in your life; whether you’re wondering about, new to, struggling, or strong in your faith; whether you’re curious about or committed to reformed theology (or somewhere in between); whether you’re a student, single, married with a family, younger, or older… and just simply want to have rest, peace, and assurance in Christ - this is the place to come!”
