“I considered myself to be fairly athletic and in decent shape before hurting my back. I would run 2-3 times a week and workout up to 5 times a week. I had run multiple races in the years leading up to my injury. But I herniated a disc in my lower back approximately two years ago doing deadlifts. The pain was intense in my lower back and radiated down to my glutes and hamstrings, which pretty much stopped me from being able to workout and run. Over the past couple of years before working with Matt I had tried all types of treatment including Chiropractor, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, Epidural Steroid shots, and Physical Therapy at two different locations. My doctor flat out told me that I would not be able to run again. He suggested taking up swimming or bike riding. This was pretty discouraging to say the least. When I met with Matt the first time, I could tell that he wouldn't accept the doctor's advice that I was done running. Matt began my treatment attacking the pain first with a combination of stretching, massaging, and light exercises to strengthen the core. Matt was very knowledgeable and came up with a plan for my recovery. As the sessions passed, he would push me harder and harder and I was beginning to see that I could do more and more without the radiating pain I had prior. He watched me run on a treadmill and immediately saw a big problem in the way I ran. By tweaking my running style, combined with stretching and exercises, I was able to run without putting as much pressure on my spine/discs. After training with the new running style I was able to run a 5K on the 4th of July at a 8:45 pace! For not having ran 3 miles straight in the past 2 years, I was beyond excited! I would highly recommend Matt! He is very friendly, knowledgeable, and isn't afraid to push you to your limit without overdoing it. Very happy and thankful for my time with Matt!”

“For thirty years I have had jaw pain upon going up stairs and lately it was happening on one flight of stairs. Had the test done for blockage of the arteries and they were negative. Told Dr. Moreno about it and he said he a vitamin B shot that would help that. Had the injection and it did. Now have not tried two or more flights but in a couple of weeks will test that too. 5 stars for something I had been living with for ages. Kay Minahan”

“I am the kind of person that usually only comes here to look at reviews, not write one myself. This time is different because Christine is THAT good! My daughter was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia in October of 2013 and was placed at Millers Children's hospital in Long Beach after a long month of wondering what was wrong. Originally we were placed with Dr. Patel whom I also care for deeply and have grown to love like family, then my daughter was changed to high risk and we were sent over to Christine and the high risk MD at Millers. She has been such a great source of happiness and hope for our family, she takes the time to answer my millions of questions and has so much patience with all that I throw her way. I don't know how I would have made it almost to maintenance now, had we not been put with her. She has become a part of our family and we love having her and feel very grateful that she came into our lives. If you are looking for someone to help you along your journey with your child, she is the person to go to. I would give her 10 stars if I could!”
