“Nice and cool with a staff of knowledgeable independent trainers. My wife has been going there for five plus years to meet with Annette who is an excellent trainer for women, men and older people and she organizes wonderful and popular boot camps around Thanksgiving. They in recent months added a professional and what appears to be is an excellent MMA fighter trainer. His students are wiry, look tough but are very polite students serious at becoming good MMA Fighters themselves. They also have a good male trainer a big man who from observation and talking to my wife's trainer Annette, he teaches good technique and is able to lift impressive loads of heavy weights! Did two sessions with Annette for sore hips. Last new chiropractor couldn't adjust properly and I hurt for several days after that.. Subsequently,stopped seeing chiropractors. Previous chiropractor was great but retired. Annette did a shared session with my wife and did stretch and stretch exercises on specialized machine. The finished up showing how to "foam roll" soreness away. Pleased with results! Her knowledge and techniques had me walk away without hip chronic internal soreness I've for many months. She said after awhile we can get back to having chiropractic maintenance again. Worth looking into working with Annette for training induced injuries perhaps from boot camp workouts or maybe Cross Training exercises as well as foundationally solid strengthening and physical maintenance training. Update 2022 September. Walking and standing better. Pain gone in hip muscles knowing how better to anchor my torso, angle and place the inside of my foot. Making myself aware of structural adjustments avoids frequency of chiropractic adjustments sessions. Xcel still has great trainers. The nicest update is their window displays now announce what they do.”

“About 10 years ago, I had tennis elbows with both of my arms. Dr Zhao treated me for 2 months with acupuncture and I haven't had any problem since then. Her treatment also helped me whenever I had back pain and stiffness. One time I had sharp nerve pain with my legs and I visited her 4 times and amazingly my pain was gone. 3 years ago my knees and my legs started feeling sore, numb and ached occasionally at night. I went to an arthritis specialist, she told me this was part of aging process, and walking was the best thing I could do at the moment. Since I like to maintain my knees from getting worse and not to depend on medication for relief, I have been seeing Dr. Zhao regularly. “Silicon Beach Tx is full of bright staff in a world that feels very dark and isolating. I think if you’re struggling with substance use, it is the best place to go. If you are struggling with mental illness, lower your severity of symptoms at a residential before coming so they can help you as best as possible. Silicon is a great program. From the Clinical Director, Alisha (Ali) to House Managers like Stephen Castel, everyone cares and genuinely wants to help you recover in whatever ways they can. The sober livings are clean and spacious, and don’t feel crowded like housing in treatment often does. Groceries are provided with client input on what we like and want for the house. They provide fun activities on the weekend to break the mundane reality of a clinical setting, such as game trucks, seeing holiday light displays at that time of year, etc. Covid tests are provided very frequently and when I tested positive they handled the quarantine process as best as I could imagine. I went to a separate house where only people who needed to quarantine were residing. Safety is a large concern of theirs, as shown by their actions. Every staff member I encountered was amazing. Brian, Adam, Steve, Ali, Kat, Sean, Stephen, Egla, the list goes on and on and on of people I don’t THINK care, I KNOW they do. They visited me at my residential facility over an hour away from where they are located to make sure that I was happy and my needs were being met, and said if I needed anything they would assist in that. I was reassured that I am always welcomed there if I choose to come back once they can accommodate my needs at that time. The groups on the behavioral health track do need improvement, which they are actively working on now. Although I left silicon due to my needs requiring a residential level of care, I would recommend Silicon to my closest friends and relatives, and would know they are in good hands. Below are photos of my room and restroom while at silicon, to give future clients a more realistic view of their future living situation, that isn’t a fancy picture from a website.”
