“Honestly, the cops in Claremont are doing their jobs, and because they are doing their jobs, it keeps the city so nice, so clean, they have awesome public works/public assistance (including libraries, a homeless shelter, multiple churches that run food drives, etc) and the entire city gives one another support. The only complaint I have is that the police can be a bit over vigilant. This means that if you are not dressed appropriately or you do not fit cleanly into a certain stereotype (i.e. Bicyclist, clean cut hipster or tourist, middle class / upper middle class of any race, or anyone dressed in proper business casual) you will be looked at by the cops suspiciously. If you do not have a legit license or proper tags/registration on your car, do not come to Claremont at all.”

“We had a suspicious delivery past midnight in which the driver came back to our house twice (1230 and 12:45). Obviously being so late I was suspicious and called the sheriff to do a quick drive around for anything suspicious. Luckily for me the station sent a pair of officers (both with the surname Gonzalez) to check on us. Between the call (non emergency line) and the checkup it was only 20 minutes. This incident made me grateful for the service of our police. The Officer Gonzalez I spoke acted in a professional and candid manner and made me feel safer. I wish both officers safe travels and a great amount of thanks for looking out for our neighborhood.”
