“So, as always, I like to write a review of my first visit to a place. I was greeted by the manager and other employees as soon as I opened the door and entered. The ambiance is warm. laid-back and, of course a welcoming art deco flair. The prices are surprisingly affordable and in large portion. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, and I had no clue it came with a side of tangerine salad. The sandwich was delicious, and yes, it comes in two reasonable pieces, so I had enough to take home. I award Carmen, Eduardo, Alejandro, Maria, Jaciel, Carolina, and Gina 5 stars for their outstanding VIP service in addition to the delectable cuisine and the cleanliness of the whole restaurant! 5 stars to the manager whom gave acknowledgment to all his team members when I had asked for who to thank. “These tacos never fail, the salsas are spicy, the tacos are full of flavor they're delicious. My top one is Al Pastor it is so well done and spicy. My other favorites are cabeza y asada. What I like about the asada tacos from here is that saben asar la carne they don't use that nasty pellejuda meat that looks boiled that most taco trucks use for their asada. My kids favorite is the combo plate, they really enjoy the beans they have a little bit of spice to them and taste home made and they add a good amount of meat and tortillas along. Please never change.”

“Amazing! We stopped at this place for breakfast on our way back from LA to Sacramento having only found it by googling “food near me” for convenience close to a freeway exit. So happy we did! We had no idea what to expect and with a car containing a vegetarian, a 7 year old and 2 meat eating adults, this was absolute perfection! Not only were there TONS of options for everyone, but every single thing each of us ordered was DELICIOUS! So fresh, flavorful, hot and full of yum! Unfortunately, I was way too excited and ate my food too fast before realizing I didn’t take a picture but I ordered the chilaquiles plate with red sauce and it was AMAZING! Only one person in my group was patient enough to take a pic of his classic breakfast, pictured here…but believe me everything was fantastic!! And to top it all off they provided the best customer service! Everyone there was super friendly, attentive, helpful and kind! I wish they were in Sacramento! An absolute win to find this place!”

“The Shade was a very beautiful and relaxing hotel. The service at the hotel was extremely friendly(aside for the restaurant "sea level", see my reviews statement for that restaurante! All in all the I would love to come back to this hotel in the future, maybe try out a different location. The best and my most favorite enjoyable moments was in the tub, that was located on our private balcony. The tub is outside people!!! Yeaaasssssss What a great set-up. See pictures I have provided. “Tuesdays they have the most delicious fish tacos for only $1.50. They are hot, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. They are covered in cabbage, crema, and salsa. This was my go-to spot for lunch when I worked in South Gate. The other food is great too, but the tacos on a budget are the best. They also do $1.50 tacos on Thursday, but not fish: asada, chicken, al pastor, and carnitas. It's a small building attached to a car wash. No indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor tables and chairs.”
